Argania spinosa It's the plant from which everything begins. A very robust tree with thorny branches, it can live up to 200 years.
Endemic tree of Morocco, the spiny argan is concentrated in the Souss region , between Agadir and Essaouira. Due to its rarity and uniqueness, UNESCO declared the region a " Biosphere Reserve " in 1988. The so-called "Argan forest" extends over 800,000 hectares, and women's cooperatives work there to harvest the fruit, ensuring the protection of the land and its reforestation.
Cultivated sustainably, just like the harvesting of the fruit from which it is extracted. Let's forget about intensive cultivations that exploit trees: the fruit is harvested from the ground when it is dry and falls from the tree.
